作品說明(中文)

本案公共藝術,以學校內生態池塘為元素,加入積木的概念,結合成三座具戶外傢具功能之作品。同時,作品圖像中也加入了線條的元素,藉此呈現出積木組合的概念。
積木為小朋友常接觸的玩具之一,其有趣的地方在於它組合時的無限可能。而積木也常被運用於各種不同教學內容中,如數學、科學、美術教育等,是極具啟發性與功能性的有趣玩具/教材。
生態與環保,則是現代人類生活中最重要的議題之一。作品中,以常出現在水岸邊的動物與水生植物為主視覺,並以上面、側面兩個觀看角度呈現作品,當校內師生觀看作品時,就像觀看水族缸一般。立面(側面)」的圖像,就如同自水族缸立面玻璃往水裡看去,而上面的圖案,則像是由水族缸正上面往下,觀看水的表面一般。藉由這樣的設計,產生作品視覺的層次,也提供給孩子們,看待事物的不同視角。

作品說明(英文)

The main element of this public artwork is a campus ecosystem pond, augmented with the concept of building blocks, that forms a work combining the functionalities of three pieces of outdoor furniture. At the same time, there is a linear element in the work’s imagery, which demonstrates the concept of different combinations of building blocks. A common toy for children, building blocks present an infinite number of combinations. Often employed as educational tools for subjects such as mathematics, science, and art, these building blocks are highly stimulating toys/teaching materials that serve numerous functions.
Ecology and environmental protection are some of the most important issues in modern society. The main visual element of this work is inspired by animals and aquatic plants that often appear by the shore. The work is presented from two perspectives - above and below. When the faculty and students of the school view the work, it is like observing an aquarium. The image of the facade (side) seems as if the viewer were looking into an aquarium from the side, while the image on top looks as if it were seen from above. This design creates visual layers in the work and also provides the students with a different perspective.
