The main stylistic components of this work are wings and honeycomb shapes, echoing the militaristic spirit of the “Kung-Feng VI” rocket launcher. The launcher cuts across the forged weld to form bee’s wings and the overlapping elements of the steel structure create an image of home. The sacred mission of the military to protect the nation is represented by a pair of protective wings, under which people live and work in the knowledge that they and their families are safe.
The honeycomb design is reflected in the shape of the marble chairs and hexagonal pebble base. The bee motif is also an expression of the much desired unity of military and people, as they work together to protect this land.
