迴
《迴》的古字形同「回」，狀如雲霧，環轉的造型牽引著飛機起飛與降落的瞬間姿態，既是舞動的開始，也是完美的句點。願能以中文特殊的象形特色，與作品的造形共同演繹。作品以與飛機相同的鑄鋁合金材質緊扣航空元素，圓形環轉的概念呼應繞行地球總共360°的經度，起點即是終點，造形錯落於最初昂揚之處，彷彿是在訴說旅程往返的本質皆不過如此，由內至外，再由外而內，傳達著透析旅行的終極思考，即一來一往之間形成完滿的圓形，如同對著天空中無數飛行的旅人們，傳達衷心的祝福。
The shape of the Chinese character “回”, which is the ancient glyph of “迴”, is said to resemble clouds and mist, and the loop within a loop form also brings to mind the image of the instantaneous take off and landing of an airplane, given that the start of motion, is also its consummate conclusion. This piece utilizes the pictorial qualities of the Chinese character in its design. It is constructed from the same cast aluminum alloy materials used for making airplanes which ties in with the aforementioned aviation images and the concept of the circular loops represents the 360° of the Earth’s longitude, whereby amongst the seeming confusion the starting point is also the destination, as if the piece is pointing out that the very essence of embarking and returning from a journey, is just as simple as this: one moves from within to without, then from without back within, which communicates a penetrating insight into the ultimate meaning of travel; the outward and return journey form a perfect circle, relaying a heartfelt blessing for the countless travelers flying in the skies at this moment.
