Aim utilizes a concrete art form to correspond to abstract architectural vocabulary. The artist has presented the shooter (partially sunk in the ground) in his aiming posture and cast brass to shape his expression of focus and concentration. The result is a portrayal of a firm, confident shooter preparing to fire his shot. The space to the rear of the shooter’s face serves as a buffer to block distractions and noises. As viewers look through the shooter’s pupil (with a crosshair in the glass iris), they will experience the feeling of a marksman, squinting at his target with utmost concentration. The mark of the bullet carved out the names of the most renowned marksmen in Taiwan to serve as a statement of Taiwan’s outstanding achievements in the sport of shooting.
