藝術家呂浩元以花卉為主題的畫作，總是在優雅盛開的表象之下，藏入屬於他個人慣有的觀看及詮釋方式，有一部分是關於遙遠美好理想的追索，也有一部分是直面事物，感官交往的細膩體會。而這些發狂似盛開的花朵和植物，終究在他細細勾勒的成畫過程裡，銷抵克制了不少鋒芒盡露的侵略性，而這些攤開在我們眼前的感官愉悅，仍舊得回應盛極之後接 近死亡的自然定律。藝評人張晴文曾說：「這些最後的肖像就是世界對他開展的樣子。芳華眼底，是衰敗之前最接近永恆的青春。」
